We present ourselves for visitor groups of 10 – 120 persons.
We offer guided tours along our vineyards and our
wine-cellars in combination with wine-tasting.
Your trip to the Middle-Rhine-Area and to the wine city of Koblenz
makes it possible for you to meet winegrowers personally.
Here
you can experience wine as a cultural value.
Koblenz is the only city in Germany with two different
wine growing districts, ‘Moselle’ and ‘Middle-Rhine’,
at the confluence of the rivers Rhine and Moselle.
This point is called ‘The German Corner’.
Our vineyard is situated in the idyllic ‘Mühlental’ (mill valley) in
the Koblenz district of Ehrenbreitstein on the right hand side of the
river Rhine and on the foot of the ‘Fortress Ehrenbreitstein’.
Our family Göhlen has been running the vineyard since 1921
and
meanwhile in the third generation.
Our vineyards belong to the German wine growing area of
‘Middle–Rhine’.
The grapevines grow on mineral slate stone which stores the heat,
so
that our wines get the expressive and special taste.
At the sunny and steep slopes of the ‘Ehrenbreitsteiner Kreuzberg’
we grow the red kinds ‘Spätburgunder’, ‘Regent’ and ‘Portugieser’
and also the white ones of ‘Riesling’, ‘Müller-Thurgau’, ‘Huxel’,
‘Bacchus’, ‘Weißburgunder’ and ‘Ehrenbreitsteiner’.
Clever handling of the different vines, quality orientated cut(ting)
and a special selective vintage by hand guarantee a manifold
offer for all our friends of wine.

WINE TASTING

Then please visit our vineyard !
We present ourselves for visits, wine-tastings with
guided tours through our wine-cellars and on request,
we offer walks through our vineyards.
In our cosy wine-caverns (up to 120 persons!) we would
like to introduce to you our different kinds of wine,
our champagne and our fine spirits.
In a nice atmosphere you will learn a lot of
interesting things about wine.
During our guided tour through the cellars you will get interesting
information about our wine-making and you can collect your
first impressions in the cool walls of our rocky cellar.
Not only our modern wine tanks will give you an ever
memorable impression but most of all our rocky cellar
with many very old oak barrels (barriques).
Our
new renovated and lovingly decorated
‘Altes Kelterhaus’
(up to 50 persons!) will serve as a second tasting room
throughout the summer months.
The comfortable small tasting-room at the nature rock
is used for small groups.
Beside these rooms we have a mediterranean inner court
with additional 60 seats outdoors.
In mild summer evenings you can enjoy the silence of our
‘Mühlental’ in idyllic surroundings and have a pleasant
wine-tasting at the rock under the wine climber .
If the weather is good we recommend a walk through our
vineyards, which are situated directly at our house.
